Description From Owner:
- The Bean Counter Cafe, located in downtown Picton, has just recently opened for business.
- The cafe has 5 main goals it is striving to deliver: the best coffee, the best desserts, the best ice cream, a great lunch value and a cozy atmosphere.
- THE BEST COFFEE: In order to deliver the best coffee, water is double filtered, to-go cups are triple layered to keep your coffee hot...and all aim to give you that ahhhhh! after the first sip!
- From the coffee of the day (dark or medium roasted) to cappuccinos, lattes, espressos, chai tea lattes & caramel machiattos, there is lots to choose from.
- THE BEST DESSERTS: All of our cakes are made on the premises by Suzanne Lachford who also wholesales cakes to restaurants through her business Signature specialty Foods. There is always a wonderful display of her cheesecakes.
- THE BEST ICE CREAM: Have you tried Gelato? Gelato is Italian ice cream and is on display as soon as you enter the cafe and is made right on site. In the summer there will be 24 flavours on display and in the off season 10-12.
- Either have Gelato in a cup or take 1/2 or full litre home with you. Lactose intolerant? No problem. All Gelato fruit flavours are made with a water base...so enjoy!
- GREAT LUNCH VALUE: In addition to our croissants and Montreal bagels, every day there is a soup special, sandwich special and a combo. Keeping lunches simple allows the Bean Counter to offer a good quality lunch at a great price!
- COZY ATMOSPHERE: Well, what better spot to enjoy a cappuccino and a slice of white chocolate raspberry cheesecake than on a couch, right in front of the fireplace. The Bean Counter has seating for 20 people and is located in downtown Picton, Ontario.
